The world is round and I can’t stop rolling.
All I want to do is rest.

The world is round and I can’t stop rolling.
All I want to do is rest.

It’s risky business, first learning to paint
being creative, letting go of restraint
who wouldn’t want to see two women chattin’

But maybe not Churchill
compressed in a wagon.

daily word prompt: Risky
On a scale from from one to ten
where do you fit in?
On a scale from high to low
which direction do you go?
On a scale from left to right
undisturbed or too uptight?
On a scale from A to G
what matters is the harmony
Whatever range in which we fall
Quite the keyboard are we all!

Weekly photo challenge: SCALE

The vastness of the wheat in field
Rich soil lies beneath?
No, Layer upon layers splay
To cover up the heath.
Who knows the truth I ask of you
Profound, I tell you this!
Uncovered, unexpected,
Lies a masquerade of bliss.

They stood inside an ancient oak tree, steady on limbs thick, strong, and unbreakable.
“What are we doing? Is this the right thing?” she asked.
“I’m not sure. I’ve never done this either.” He showed her the ring. Simple, unique, creative just like she was.
She read him the poem she had written. The last line – “So, I promise you the sun.”
“And I promise you the moon,” he said to her.
“What if we break our promises? Even if we don’t mean to?”
“Then,” he said, “together, we will hold up our world.”

Miss Pompous puffed out her chest and said, braying,
“My Chanel suit and shoes are all new!!!”
I lifted my chin at her neighing,
saying,
“You should buy a kazoo.
Or a kangaroo.
‘Cause THIS woman you CANNOT outdo!”
And with the last word, I showed her the bird-
Not a finger, you silly,

I painted this from a photo I took while in the meat-packing district in New York City. It was an Abercrombie and Fitch ad. So, I aptly call this painting, “Meat Packing”.
