Extremely interesting. While William Least Heat Moon was gathering material for his book Prairie Erth he hiked out across the prairie and then gazed at where’s been with a convex mirror. That’s alost what you’ve done here. It kick starts a whole new program.
Interesting! Yes, I took this photo at our family homestead that was settled in the 1840’s. Obviously, the log cabin is in the mirror. The main house was built in 1899 but is not shown here. This photo, at the time, was serendipitous. I got in the driver’s seat and this is what I found!
Bravo. Sometimes the side view mirror perspective offers more chance for reflection and appreciation than depending on the rear view mirror placed over over the proverbial dashboard. I try not to get mired down in thoughts of the past. I am not advocating burning one’s bridges behind onself. Merely that looking bravely ahead is the solution for me. Merry Christmas. 🙂 Keep up the great work.
